Welcome to your very first advertising experience! If you have never advertised before there are a few things we would like to share with you:
Consider your Goal
Before purchasing advertising consider what you are trying to achieve by advertising. Are you looking for an immediate response or long-term awareness of your product/service? Base your decision of where and how to advertise on your goal. It is important to note that if you do not receive an immediate response to your ad it does not necessarily mean that you haven’t made a connection with readers! Your ad may have been mentally filed away for future reference. If readers look for your ad in a future issue and it isn’t there then you have lost that client.
Continuity is Important
Advertising consistently and continuously will help you communicate your message effectively. Our advertising rates reflect this goal. Advertisers that purchase annual ads and renew their ads year after year receive significant discounts. Annual advertising is only sold once each year. If you are going to start advertising don't miss the opportunity to convey your message year-round at greatly reduced advertising rates.
Small is Good Too
Consider purchasing a smaller ad and running it for several years rather than purchasing a larger ad for one or two issues. This will be easier on your pocket book and better for your image. You will also capitalize on the significant discounts offered to annual advertisers.

If you have additional funds, web advertising is an excellent complement to a magazine ad. It will reinforce the information readers found in the printed magazine and directly connect them to your website.

Don't forget your Phone Number!
It is recommended that you always include basic contact information: name, address including city/town and province, phone number with area code and website or email address. Remember that your print ad is distributed locally, provincially, nationally and internationally since it is included in the Current Issue Online.
