Classified Activity Submission Guidelines

The Homeschooler's Guide is pleased to offer promotional space in the classified activities section to individuals and/or organizations offering homeschool programs and events for free, space permitting.

To qualify for publication a submission must include both Activity Host and Activity Detail information. Activities submitted using the following format reduce administration and will be given priority over activities submitted in alternate formats:

Activity Host Information

1. (Name Individual/Organization Offering Activity)
2. (Website OR Email Address)
3. Contact: (Phone Number, including area code)
4. Registration: (If different form Contact Phone Number)
5. Registration Deadline: (insert date or "one week before.")
   * It is recommended that Payment Deadline and Registration Deadline are on the same day and that Payment/Registration Deadline be at least 10 days before your activity commences.

Activity Detail Information

1. (Title of Activity) and (acronym for parent participation)
2. (Activity Start Date and Day Acronym) and (Activity End Date and Day Acronym)
3. (Activity Description - maximum of 50 words)
4. (Activity Age/Grade)
5. (Time Activity Takes Place)
6. (Activity Cost) per (Number of Classes)
7. Special Notes: (Insert any special comments or concerns about the activity.

All Activity Host/Detail Information should be submitted in the body of an email. No attachments please!

Please ensure all information relating to your activity is provided. This will ensure a more accurate and timely transfer of information from your organization to the publication. First Time Submissions

It is highly recommended that new activities be submitted at least one week prior to the usual deadline. It is worth spending a bit of extra time to get the first submission correct since it makes future submissions easier. Many regular contributors use their first submission as a template for future submissions.
