How to Submit an Article
We are happy to receive proposals and submissions of editorial material at any time. The Homeschooler's Guide has four different editorial sections for which you may write: On the Cover, Feature, Learning Resources, and Current Affairs.
On the Cover (length 750 words)
This article relates to the photo on the cover of the magazine. Usually written with assistance from the editor, this article identifies who is in the photo and where it was taken along with an explanation of what was going on. The article is dedicated to readers sharing an inspiring learning experience with other readers. This article is written once a photo has been approved and accepted to go on the cover. Send us a photo today!
Feature Article (length 1200-2500 words)
Each issue of the magazine has at least ONE feature article which covers an education-related topic in more detail than the other sections of the magazine.
Learning Resources (length 750-1500 words)
Each issue of the magazine has unique learning resource articles. The object of these articles is to educate and assist parents on a wide variety of issues such as: teaching methods, homeschool support, parenting, health/nutrition, books/curriculum, and any other educational resources parents may find helpful and useful.
Current Resources (length 750 words)
This section is dedicated to keeping readers up-to-date on current government legislation, private initiatives and other issues in the area of education.
Original unpublished articles are preferred. If your article has been previously printed (paper or online) we must be advised as to when and where it has been previously published.
