This group was created to connect home educators and facilitate the organization and coordination of get togethers, homeschool activities & field trips in the Innisfail and surrounding areas including Bowden, Benalto, Delburne, Eckville, Markerville, Raven, Spruce View, Sundre, Sylvan Lake, Three Hills, Torrington, Trochu, Olds, Springbrook, and Penhold.

CALGARY & AREA SUPPORT
Calgary Christian Home Educator's Association (CCHEA)
We are a Calgary based support group that meets monthly to offer encouragement for those who are homeschooling, or considering it. Meetings are usually held the second Monday of every month, and the usual location is upstairs at Canadian Home Education Resources 108 - 1289 Highfield Cr SE. Due to the family nature of some meetings, location may vary. Call for information! Everyone is welcome to attend meetings, they are free for members, and a $2 drop in fee applies for non members. Calgary Area: Cochrane Home Educators (C.H.E.)
We hold meetings approximately five times a year, including a children’s program during three of those meetings. We plan various events including a Welcome Back BBQ, New Home Schoolers Information Nights, Christmas Party, Cultural Projects/Science Fair, Sports Day, and Graduation. Our members have access to a homeschooling library as well as various field trips, programs and courses. CHE also boasts a thriving Teen Group.

Home learners are often called homeschoolers, but this is a bit of a misnomer. Sometimes parents will choose to have school at home, but often it's not so structured.
