Alberta (Central): Home Learning Support
This group was created to connect home educators and facilitate the organization and coordination of get togethers, homeschool activities & field trips in the Innisfail and surrounding areas including Bowden, Benalto, Delburne, Eckville, Markerville, Raven, Spruce View, Sundre, Sylvan Lake, Three Hills, Torrington, Trochu, Olds, Springbrook, and Penhold.

This group was formed to support all home educating parents in Southern Alberta, including Lethbridge, Fort Macleod, Coaldale, Pincher Creek, Taber, and all other areas in this region. Membership to CHESN is not required. Only home educating parents are invited to participate in this group.

Calgary Christian Home Educator's Association (CCHEA)
We are a Calgary based support group that meets monthly to offer encouragement for those who are homeschooling, or considering it. Meetings are usually held the second Monday of every month, and the usual location is upstairs at Canadian Home Education Resources 108 - 1289 Highfield Cr SE. Due to the family nature of some meetings, location may vary. Call for information! Everyone is welcome to attend meetings, they are free for members, and a $2 drop in fee applies for non members. Calgary: Foothills Christian Homeschool Association
Our purpose is to be a source of encouragement, friendship, and support to one another in our homeschooling journey. Although we find an intimate level of "community" through our Christian faith, anyone interested in homeschooling is welcome to join us. The Calgary Home Schoolers Association (CHSA) is a non-profit support group of Calgary area home schoolers, whose mission is to create opportunities and programs for social and academic support and enrichment. We have a support group, gym classes, social time and social events, field trips, science crates, etc. and a community of home schoolers working together.

Calgary Area: Cochrane Home Educators (C.H.E.)
We hold meetings approximately five times a year, including a children’s program during three of those meetings. We plan various events including a Welcome Back BBQ, New Home Schoolers Information Nights, Christmas Party, Cultural Projects/Science Fair, Sports Day, and Graduation. Our members have access to a homeschooling library as well as various field trips, programs and courses. CHE also boasts a thriving Teen Group.

Homelearners.ca
is a resource site for parents, teachers, students, educators--anyone who has an interest in learning not done in an institution. Home learners are often called homeschoolers, but this is a bit of a misnomer. Sometimes parents will choose to have school at home, but often it's not so structured. Learning happens whether it is planned or not, whether it is organized or not, whether you want it to happen--or not!

Manitoba Association for Schooling at Home is a not for profit group of homeschooling families that is non-sectarian. MASH membership is open to all faiths, philosophies and points of view. It is dedicated to creating a sense of association among homeschoolers throughout the province of Manitoba. MASH also works with the government as a liaison.

Membership in this support group is managed through your subscription/membership to the SCHIL Newsletter. Activities within the group are organized by parent members and notification and promotion of the activities are done through the newsletter. The newsletter is a paper format which is mailed out to the membership from September to June of the school year.
